I am Cécile GIF-RABOT, project manager at ADEME, in the supervision department of EPR schemes. I have been working on the data collection tool of the national EPR register (SYDEREP) for 10 years. I have a technical-functional profile that has allowed me to lead its redesign (initiated in 2020). SYDEREP is a highly configurable tool capable of integrating new schemes or new reporting needs quickly without any development. We are currently collecting data on 19 schemes. This position gives me a global vision of the schemes and the challenges of harmonization. LIFE4EPR is my first European experience. I am convinced that collecting and analyzing data related to EPR schemes is essential for a sustainable economy, provided that the administrative burden for the various stakeholders, including producers, is kept as low as possible. IT tools, serving coherent regulatory texts, can make this possible.
