Sekhar Lahiri is the Managing Director of Stichting UPV Textiel, which provides an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme for the apparel and textile value chain in The Netherlands. The foundation is a non-profit organisation with a collective approach. All relevant companies can apply to participate in this EPR scheme. We aim to achieve the reuse and recycling targets by further developing the existing infrastructure into an efficient collection and processing system together with our stakeholders. We encourage collaboration and innovation to drive the circular economy. We promote knowledge sharing, coordination and harmonisation of EPR schemes in other EU Member States.
