Why dialogue across academia, PROs, institutions, and industry matters

We consider the dialogue among various stakeholders to be critical in enriching the societal capacity to develop and implement EPR systems in an effective way. We hope that the Hub, for example, provides an opportunity for practitioners of EPR systems (PROs, government institutions and industry) to find information on latest findings of relevant academic research in a digestible manner.

This will support practitioners when designing, revising and implementing EPR systems. For academia, meanwhile, the Hub serves as an invaluable venue to receive direct inputs and obtain views from practitioners. Members representing civil society organisations and consumer groups can play a vital role in communicating about what they hear and find in the Hub to society at large, thereby raising awareness on EPR.

The overall activities should contribute to the creation of a more circular society and reduce environmental impacts.
