Three Modules, One Integrated Solution
The proposed Registration and Reporting Gateway is built around three complementary modules.
Module 1 – EU EPR Registration and Reporting Information Platform
A central information hub providing up-to-date guidance, contacts, FAQs and public registration information across the EU.
Module 2 – Producer Registration
A harmonised registration process allowing producers to upload information for multiple Member States through a single channel while national registers continue to manage legal registration procedures.
Module 3 – Products Placed on the Market (POM) Reporting
A hybrid reporting model allowing producers to choose between the existing national reporting route or a harmonised EU reporting format. This flexible approach is particularly designed to benefit cross-border producers while allowing nationally focused companies to continue using their existing reporting systems if preferred.
The architecture of the EU‑LIFE4EPR RRG balances harmonisation with flexibility, recognising that different categories of producers have different compliance needs. It is worth underlining that, while producer registration and POM reporting are facilitated directly through the EU‑LIFE4EPR RRG, contracting PROs and appointing ARs remain outside the scope of the Gateway.
